Bruce Pomer’s career spans over 40 years in state government and the nonprofit sector.
Beginning in 1971 he spent 13 years with state Department of Health serving as Executive Secretary to the California Conference of Local Health Officers ( CCLHO), Chief of the Office of External Affairs and as Chief of the Medi – Cal field Services Section.
Starting in 1984 he spent 30 years with the Health Officers Association of California ( HOAC) retiring as Executive Director in 2014.
He currently operates, Pomer Associates, a consulting firm specializing in public health policy development.
He received his degree in political science from the University of California at Davis in 1971 and Masters Degree in public administration from the University of Southern California in 1977
