Dr. Zhornitskiy is an Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology at the University of California, Davis.
Dr. Zhornitskiy completed his undergraduate education at the University of California, Berkeley, followed by his medical degree at Drexel University College of Medicine. He completed his internal medicine residency at Olive-View UCLA, and his fellowship in gastroenterology at UC Davis. Since his fellowship, he has pursued a Master’s in Public Health (MPH) with specific interests in health services research and public health policy.
Dr. Zhornitskiy’s clinical and scholarly work emphasizes health equity, with a commitment to addressing disparities in access to colon cancer screening among underserved and ethnically diverse populations. Dr. Zhornitskiy is passionate about building partnerships across clinical, community, and policy sectors, and is involved with multiple regional and national organizations dedicated to reducing the burden of colorectal cancer and timely access to colorectal cancer screening.
