With more than 30 years of experience as a registered nurse, I have had the privilege of caring for patients across a wide range of healthcare settings. My career has primarily focused on the care of critically ill children and healthcare leadership, later transitioning to adult outpatient oncology.
While these professional experiences shaped my clinical perspective, they did not fully prepare me for becoming a patient myself. I faced breast cancer twice and was later diagnosed with colon cancer. These personal experiences have profoundly deepened my understanding of the patient journey and strengthened my commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care.
I earned my Master of Science in Nursing from California State University, Sacramento, and my Doctor of Nursing Practice from California State University, Fresno. I currently teach future nurses and other healthcare professionals part-time at CSU Sacramento.
I am honored to contribute my clinical expertise, leadership experience, and perspective as both a provider and a patient to support the mission and initiatives of C4.
